Rear Seal Retainer

Tired of your cub leaking oil onto your garage floor or mower deck?

This is generally caused by the rear seal leaking or a warped rear seal retainer.  The new IH replacement seals are a bit smaller than the retainer which means either staking or silicone is needed to hold them in place. The result is usually the same leakage problem you started with or worse.  Why risk having to split your Cub again?

  The rear seal retainers have all warping removed on the back and bottom surfaces. The bottom 3 holes are also checked and heli-coiled, if needed.

The retainer is then placed in a lathe and bored  out to 4.003"

 

Once the retainer is re-bored a new seal is installed as shown. This new seal is 4.008" allowing for a .005" press fit. A perfect fit that stops your leak.
